Q & A

  1. When is the first day of practice?

    1. First day of practice will be held on March 11th, 6 pm at Lakes High School​

  2. What does my athlete need to bring?

    1. Running sneakers and athletic clothes. We recommend a sweatshirt, sweatpants, and a rain jacket if it is cold and rainy. ​

    2. Water. Your athlete MUST bring a water bottle. There is no place to fill up with water, and the coaches do not have water to give to athletes.

    3. Make sure all clothing and water bottles are labeled with their name. 

  3. What happens if it rains?

    1. We run in rain or shine. So make sure you have a towel for your athlete when you pick them up. 

  4. Do I, as a parent, need to stay at the track?

    1. If your athlete is under 12, yes, parents and guardians need to stay at the track. ​

    2. Parents are requested to pick up their child inside the gate between the track and parking lot to avoid athletes running to their cars in a busy parking lot. 

  5. Is there a message area to let parents know what is going on?

    1. King Cobras uses TeamSnap app to communicate. On the app, we will provide updates on practice times, meet information, and other important details. ​

  6. What is USATF membership?

    1. In order for an athlete to compete in Junior Olympics Championship meets in June/July, all athletes MUST have a USATF membership by June 1st. ​

    2. Membership costs $38.88 for 1 year membership. This membership also includes travel discounts and more.
